Mіlіnkevіch send signatures in support of freedom of liberty of conscience in Belarus to European Parliament
The leader of the movement “For Freedom” Alyaksandr Milinkevich and the co-leader of the steering committee for creation of the “Belarusian Christian Democracy” party Pavel Sevyarynets have met the head of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Pottering in Brussels.
The Belarusian politicians presented the European Parliament chief a petition about the violation of the freedom of conscience in Belarus. They also presented him 50 thousand signatures collected in Belarus in order to change the Belarusian legislation concerning the liberty of conscience and religious freedom.
The initiators of the petition to the European Parliament are addressing the international community and are asking to help Belarusian citizens in the struggle for their rights.
