Minimal wages of Belarusians are 25 times lower than those of Luxembourg citizens

According to the data provided by the European statistical bureau Eurostat, an average monthly wage in the European Union amounts to from 123 Euro in Bulgaria to 1687 euro in Luxembourg, informs "Ejednevnik". The lowest wage of a Belarusian is approximately 67 Euro. However, Belarusians work 1,5 hours more than Europeans in average.

These researches do not include Denmark, Italy, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Norway and Switzerland as there is no such concept as minimal wage in these countries.

The biggest minimal wages in the European Union are in Luxembourg, Ireland and the Netherlands - more than 1500 Euro. The Belgians, French and the Irish get more than a thousand Euro as a minimal wage.

The smallest wages are in Romania and Bulgaria - about 130 Euro.

According to the Decree of the Council of Ministers, minimal wage in Belarus amounts to 259 thousand roubles (about 67 Euro) since January 2010.
