Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Experts analyze measures regarding Belarus
Belarus is considering the possible steps that could be made in response to the sanctions imposed by the EU and the USA. The press secretary of our country’s Foreign Office Andrei Savinyh has informed about it. Savinyh: “Possible steps in response to it are being considered. They will be made taking into account the fact that Belarus does not want to follow the way of negative and confrontational scenarios. However, the foreign policy of Belarus is independent and is based on the principle of reciprocity. Our possible measures taken in response to it will be based on this logic”.
It has not been informed when measures in response to the sanctions may be taken. Let us remind you that the EU and the USA imposed sanctions on the official Minsk on January 31. The EU forbade 158 Belarusian officials to enter its territory and the USA expanded its list and resumed the sanctions imposed on such enterprises as “Polatsk glass fibre” and “Lida paint and lacquer”.
