Ministry of Transport would like ban traffic from Minsk centre at weekends

Traffic should be banned from the centre of Minsk at weekends as it is done in a number of western cities, claimed the Minister of Transport and Communications Alyaksandr Shyshko in an interview with journalists.
According to him, the number of cars contaminating air with gas emissions “has increased by several times” in the recent years in Minsk. Shyshko noted that the Ministry of transport and other institutions should try to find a solution to the problem, informs BelaPAN.

The amount of transport emissions reaches 70% and 80% in cities.
