A new Polish Ambassador to Belarus Leszek Sherepka to arrive in Minsk in February

A new Polish Ambassador to Belarus Leszek Sherepka is to arrive in Minsk in February. The press-secretary of the Polish Embassy in Belarus Pavel Marchuk has informed this at the press-conference on January 14, reports BelaPAN.

He noted that the delay of the Ambassador's arrival was connected with the organizational moments and "there is no politics in that".

Leszek Sherepka is 46. He had previously served as deputy ambassador to Ukraine and was the first secretary of the Polish Embassy in Russia

Previous Polish Ambassador to Belarus, Henryk Litwin, left Minsk in April 2010 shortly after the crash of the Polish government plane at Smolensk. At present Witold Yurash is in charge of the diplomatic mission of Poland in Belarus.
