No criminal case to be started upon fact of Aleh Biabenin's death
Minsk regional public prosecutor's office will not start a criminal case upon the fact of jourlalist Aleh Biabenin's death. This was informed to BelaPAN news agency by the Chief Assistant of the Public Prosecutor of Minsk region Tatsiana Kalinina. Minsk regional public prosecutor's office is conducting checking of circumstances of Aleh Biabenin's death. The term of this checking has been prolonged twice and finally expires on December 3.
Let us remind you, the body of the "Charter'97" journalist and founder Aleh Biabenin was found hanged on September 3 in his country house.
OSCE experts were involved into checking of circumstances of Aleh Biabenin's death. They came to the conclusion that the autopsy results and material evidence collected at the site of the incident prove that the reason for death was suicide through hanging.
