N.R.M. TO LAUNCH A NEW ALBUM TONIGHT; TICKETS SOLD OUT

The renowned Belarusian band N.R.M. is expected on October 10 in the evening to launch their new album "06" at FORTUNA CLUB in Minsk. Ahead of the concert N.R.M. leader Liavon Volski tells the European Radio for Belarus what fans can expect tonight.

Liavon, what are you going to play tonight?

We will play the whole new album and some rare old songs and some hits.

Are any special stars invited?

There will be no stars. If you think that if KRAMA invited Arutsyunov, we were going to invite... Grebenshchikov. No. All N.R.M. children will be invited. My Adelya will be there as well this time. Brass instruments will be used in two songs.

What has delayed the launch?

First of all, it makes no sense to launch an album during the summer break. Secondly, as you are well aware, there are always problems with getting a venue. Even today, nobody is sure that nothing happens: "sewage pipe accident" or "fire". In Warsaw, we did the launch long time ago. In Belarus, we have to wait for the stars to line up in a certain constellation so that we were able to play.

The band has toured abrod a lot recently. What was the most memorable concert?

The last concert was in Lublin, Poland not far from the city of Wroclow at a big four-day-long festival devoted as usual to civil leberitie, etc. Bob Heldof was the headliner. Besides, the famous Czech band The Plastic People of the Universe that once spent some time behind bars for the dissenting views performed as well.

How soon can we expect a new CD? What are your plans?

This is art which is hard to plan. The immediate plan is to keep playing our concerts. We hope that we will be able to play in Belarus. For us, it is very important to maintain contacts with our home audience. We also plan to make videos for two songs "Never-Never" and "What is Between Us". In addition, we want to remake the Minsk-Mensk video. We don't have any new songs yet. We have also picked a song for Neuro Dubel's tribute, but I will not tell you which one.

The launch is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight. However, if you don't have a ticket, you are hardly to make it there. All the tickets are sold out, organizer Pavel Kashyryn told the European Radio for Belarus.

“As of now, all the tickets for the N.R.M. concert are sold out. We have stopped accepting orders, because the venue is not made of rubber. We hope that everything will be fine and we will have a great party!”
