Nyaklyaeu's activists demand more TV-speeches from CEC
The activists of the "Tell the Truth!" campaign are conducting a picket near the Central Election Commission's building. They demand that all the presidential candidates should be provided with another hour of air time for TV-speeches during the next two weeks. About 20 activists are participating in the action. The head of Nyaklyaeu's HQ Andrej Dzmitryeu called on Lidzia Yarmoshyna and Mikalaj Lazavik to come out and speak to the activists. The CEC Chairperson has refused to do that but said she can speak to two people inside.
The candidate's representatives - the writer Uladzimir Arlou and Tatsiana Protska (who is also a CEC member with an advisory capacity) - have gone to negotiate. There are two points in the petition which they have taken with them to Yarmoshyna:
1) to provide each candidate with 1 hour of TV live air time for speaking to the Belarusian citizens within the next two weeks;
2) to give legal estimation to the actions of the presidential candidate Aliaksandr Lukashenka who met with his electoral HQ during the working time. Moreover, this meeting was broadcasted live.
