Office equipment confiscated from Homel journalist Shchyrakova
The KGB officers searched the apartment of the journalist from Homel Larysa Shchyrakova on January 11. She is a member of the Belarusian Association of Journalists and works with a series of non-state media.
Shchyrakova has informed to BelaPAN that they confiscated two PCs, a laptop, a dictaphone, notebooks and about 150 DVD.
According to her, the search was conducted by the KGB representatives Jury Kazarez, Henadz Belkavets, Uladzimir Dubinin and Mikhail Astapenka upon the Minsk public prosecutor's warrant in the framework of the mass disturbances criminal case, started upon the events in Minsk on December 19.
"How can these Minsk events be related to me if I wasn't there? I covered the election campaign, meetings of presidential candidates with Homel inhabitants. This search is e revenge for my professional activity, an attempt to intimidate me", — Shchyrakova thinks.
The journalist has been summoned to the KGB administration for an interrogation on January 12.
