Official Minsk asks Kiev to postpone meeting of Lukashenka and Yushchenko
The meeting of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Victor Yushchenko that was to take place on June 27 in Chernigov (ERB informed about it) will be postponed. The official Minsk has asked Kiev to conduct the meeting in the first half of July.
AFN informs about it referring to some sources in the diplomatic services of both countries. At the same time it is noted that the reason for the postponement was not only the leak about the place and date of the meeting but a concourse of circumstances too.
It is known that a meeting of the “union’ Council of Ministers will take place in Moscow on June 27. Prime Ministers Vladimir Putin and Syarhei Sidorski will represent Russia and Belarus there.
The Belarusian side does not probably want to beg for “union” prices for oil and gas in Moscow speaking about energy independence and alternative gas supplies of oil and gas in Chernigov at the same time, notes AFN.
Let us remind you that representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs refuted ERB’s information about the meeting in Chernigov the other day.
