OSCE experts study Byabenin’s case but do not conduct their investigation
OSCE experts who arrived in Belarus to investigate the circumstances of the death of a journalist Aleh Byabebin are studying investigation materials at the moment. They are not conducting their own investigation. The head of the OSCE representative office in Minsk Benedict Heller claimed it in an interview with ERB. Benedict Heller: “They are studying all materials that collected during the investigation of this case to get their own opinion about it”.
According to him, experts have already met the Belarusian Attorney General Ryhor Vasilevich. However, Mr. Heller says he cannot give any information about the schedule of the work created by OSCE specialists with the help of the General Office of the Public Prosecutor.
