Picket in Brest to commemorate disappearance of Hanchar, Krasouski
A picket to commemorate the 9th anniversary since the disappearance of Viktar Hanchar and Anatol Krasouski is planned to be held on September 16 in Brest, according to the application filed by local human rights activist Raman Kislyak.
"The picket aims to remind the public about this date and to demand an objective investigation of the disappearances of high-profile figures in Belarus", Kislyak said in an interview with the Belapan news agency.
The action also aims to remind anout the need to approve and ratify the International Convenant on Protection of Citizens from Forced Disappearances by Belarus.
The authorities in Brest have already banned two similar actions in 2008.
