Political performance featuring lord Bell takes places in Minsk
A political performance took place in Minsk yesterday evening. It was organized by activists of a civil campaign “European Belarus”. They expressed a protest against the actions of an English image-maker lord Timothy Bell who had signed a contract on improvement of the image of the official Minsk with the Belarusian authorities. A group of journalists from foreign mass media invited by him has arrived in our country.
The performance took place at the intersection of Zhylunovich Street and Partisan Avenue. An activist with artificial mustache wearing a red-green T-shirt with the inscription “dictatorship” was playing the part of the well-known person. Another participant of the action was wearing a white top hat and was “lord Bell”. He was trying to paint “the seditious word” on the first personage’s T-shirt over with white paint.
7 participants of the action were detained by the police soon. They spent three hours in the police office and were let off without any protocol. “Charter-97” reports that one of the policemen hit Maxim Serhiyets in the chest with his fist.
