Preparations for Stalinism victims Memory Day underway in Belarus

The public committee set up to commemorate the victims of Stalinist repressions has called on the government and members of the public to send their representatives to a working group that will prepare for the Memory Day activities, reports Belapan. The Memory Day will be unofficially marked on October 29.

The organizing committee plans to stage several events, including a literary and art function, the exibit of pieces by Belarusian artists, memoires of those repressed and scientific papers on the topic released this year.
