Presidential administration's newspaper orders batch of 'sweet truth'
The local leading chocolate-maker Kommunarka has produced a batch of chocolate bars at the order of Sovietskaya Belorussia (SB), the newspaper of the presidential administration. The packing depicts the newspaper's logo and the slogan -- Tase the Truth!
However, it is impossible to find these chocolates in shops and taste the truth from the presidential newspaper. Euroradio tried to find out wht but the phone line of editor-in-chief Pavel Yakubovich has been switched off for several days.
But, Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, leader of the Say the Truth! civic campaign, declined to comment to Euroradio on this topic. He said he did not make a deal with Yakubovich on cooperation.
He noted that at times SB publishes materials that make people think and try to change something. He added that his campaign Say the Truth! was not set to produce chocolates with its logo but said it was a good PR move.
