Public Prosecutor of Minsk District and Zaslauye is dismissed, the others repent
The Public Prosecutor of Minsk District and Zaslauye Ihar Shkatula has been dismissed by the General Office of Public Prosecutor. A number of other Minsk District high-ranking officials may also lose their jobs soon. According to “Ezhednevnik”, they have already repented and promised to correct their mistakes.
The reason for the staff changes was a scandal related to the results of the land use check-up conducted by the State Control Committee in Minsk District.
About 200 cases of unauthorized takeover of about 12 hectares of land were registered only in Minsk District. Their cadastral value is about 1.5 million dollars.
