Public prosecutor's office refuses to start a criminal case upon Aleh Biabenin's death
The term for checking of the Charter'97 journalist Aleh Biabenin's death circumstances expired on December 3. The office's representatives refused to start a criminal case. This was informed to the European Radio for Belarus by the head of the Minsk regional public prosecutor's office's investigation department Siarhej Hupalovich. Hupalovich: “We have taken the decision not to start a criminal case due to absense of corpus delicti. The materials have been passed to supervising public prosecutors for studying”.
