Activists detained during solidarity action near KGB to be released today
The youth activists Palina Kuryanovich, Kasia Liudvig and Maxim Viniarski will be released today, on February 9, after 10 days of detention.

Palina Kuryanovich, Kasia Liudvig and Maxim Viniarski stood trial in the Central district court of Minsk. The trials were very fast, the accusation witnesses - policemen - did not even give testimony. The point is, the accused admitted they had come over to the building of the KGB office, holding posters which said "Release Political Prisoners".
Let us remind you, several dozens Minskers took part in the action of solidarity with the December 19 detainees on Janury 30. 7 people were detained and spent the night in the detention center at Akrestsina Street. 3 people were sentenced to 10 days of administrative detention, 4 people were fined for 1 million 50 thousand roubles (30 base fees) each.
