All candidates to be registered next Wednesday
The Central Election Committee has recommended that district commissions should register all candidates on August 22.
CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna has informed journalists about it. According to her, it will be done to create equal conditions for all candidates.
Yarmoshyna thinks that the number of contenders will be greatly reduced after the registration. According to the CEC chairperson, some candidates have presented low-quality documents and declarations filled in a wrong way to district election committees. A number of contenders have not managed to present all the requited documents on time.
Yarmoshyna says that every fourth candidate was refused at the previous parliamentary election in 2008.
