Brest regional court denies Shurkhai's claim

The criminal cases collegium of the Brest regional court has left the resolution of the Brest district court with regard to the democartic activist Dzmitry Shurkhai in force on February 10. He was sentenced to 5 days of detention for disobeyance to the police. 

A human rights activist Raman Kisliak has informed to BelaPAN, that the collegium has considered there are no grounds to abolish the court's decision.

"Shurkhai intends to achieve determination of fact that his rights were violated by detention and the further arrest", — the human rights activist has said.

Let us remind you, Dzmitry Shurkhai, Jury Bakur and Andrei Sharenda were detained in Brest on December 21. The activists were delivered to the Maskouski district department of internal affairs of Brest. The district court sentenced each of them to 5 days of administrative detention.
