Expert who failed to take fingerprints from Kanavalau stands trial

Previously, the investigation department of Vitsebsk regional public prosecutor's office conducted an investigation of the criminal case. The accused was an employee of the internal affairs authorities of Vitsebsk regional executive committee. He was accused of having committed a crime prescribed by Art. 428 of the Criminal Code "neglect of duty". This case is directly connected with the Minsk metro blast case. The dactyloscopy expert trusted Kanavalau's words and did not take his fingerprints after the blast in 2008. The trial will be held in a closed regime to the request of the family of the accused.
