Kastus Zhukouski to be released in Homel today
An activist of the steering committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party Kastus Zhukouski is supposed to be released in Homel today.
Let us remind you that he was imprisoned for eight days on January 13 for “petty hooliganism”. In reality, Zhukouski was making a video report near Homel KGB office and was detained there.
The activist went on hunger-strike in Homel detention centre. He expressed his protest against the court’s decision he considered to be politically motivated.
A BCD activist Iryna Hubskaya has informed Euroradio that Zhukouski is expected to be released in the afternoon.
