State Duma member says Lukashenka’s statements about the press are tactless
Member of the Russian State Duma Frants Klintsevich has called Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s statements about the press “incorrect and tactless”.
BelaPAN informs that he thinks that such statements are caused by the Belarusian mentality. Klintsevich has noted that open journalist conversations are not accepted in Belarus now while it is considered normal in Russia.
Let us remind you that Alyaksandr Lukashenka demanded to close a number of mass media including Russian ones on May 27. The state leader accused them of causing the rush demand for foreign currency and goods.
It is also worth mentioning that Klintsevich used to head the national and cultural autonomy “Belarusians of Russia”.
