Sanctuary for homeless animals to open in Minsk

The City Fauna company in Minsk said it will open a sanctuary for sterilized homeless animals.
City Fauna director Aleg Kharkevich told the European Radio for Belarus that the issue will be on put on agenda of the December session of the Minsk City Council, reports Belapan.

Kharkevich said that some 20 sterilized animals had already been looked after at his company. All of them are expected to be settled with families in Minsk. But this initiative must be legally regulated by the authorities. The most popular pets are dogs, Kharkevich said.
