Series of postcards dedicated to Belarusian People’s Republic to be printed in Belarus for the first time (photo)
Hrodna regional geographers and representatives of the movement “For Freedom” are preparing a series of 12 postcards “Harodnya – another capital of the BPR”.
Images of the government of People’s Republic that resided in Hrodna during the German occupation in 1918 have never been printed before.
The building of the government of the BPR headed by Anton Lutskevich, the building of the former Palace of the higher orders of clergy that hosted the military commandant's office and other places and people connected with activities of the government of the BPR will be shown in the postcards.
The postcards are planned to be out on March 25, 2008 – the 80th anniversary of the Belarusian People’s Republic.
