Solidarity actions to take place in Belarus and abroad on August 16

Solidarity actions meant to urge Belarusian politicians to release political prisoners and start democratic changes in the country will start in Belarus and abroad today. Let us remind you that the Day of Belarusian solidarity is traditionally celebrated on the 16th day of every month. Belarusians will light candles in their homes to express solidarity with all those who were repressed in Belarus and will come to streets and squares of cities.

Street solidarity actions, conferences, expositions and presentations of films dedicated to Belarus will be organized in Poland, Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Czechia and the USA on August 16.
