Special police troops detain participants of cycle race in memory of Maksim Bahdanovič
Special police troops did not allow activists of “BNF Youth” to organize a cycle race in Minsk on May 27. It was dedicated to Maksim Bahdanovič who died on March 25, 1917. BelaPAN informs that the action was supposed to start near the stele situated at the crossroads of Masherau and Winners Avenues. Its participants were going to cycle through the city and visit Bahdanovič Museum and monument. However, youth activists got detained by special police troops in plain cloths on the way to the stele. They confiscated a white-red-white flag, T-shirts and stickers with Bahdanovič and symbols of “BNF Youth”.
Vyachorka, Zmitser Parmon, Andrei Krachko and Anton Koipish were detained. Vyachorka and Koipish were beaten during the detention. Parmon’s collar-bone was broken and he was delivered to hospital #6.
