Sport: Tsikhan, Dzevyatouski head to arbitration court in Lausanne

Belarusian hammer-throwers Ivan Tsikhan and Vadzim Dzevyatouski, accused of doping, have left for Lausanne, Switzerland to attend hearings of their case at the Sport Arbitration Court on January 25-27, reports Interfax. The court is expected to pass a ruling on this case within two months, according to the news agency.

The two athletes allegedly tested positive after the Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2008, Dzevyatouski won silver and Tsikhan got the bronze medal.

If they are found guilty, Tsikhan will be disqualified for two years, and Dzevyatouski -- for life, because he tested positive for the second time.

The athletes said earlier they had already spent $200,000 to defend their interests in court.
