Statkevich against withdrawal of democratic candidates

Presidential candidate Mikalaj Statkevich thinks that it is unreasonable for the democratic candidates to withdraw. To his opinion, this will not be the ground for non-recognition of the election and will decrease motivation for the Square. Statkevich: "Only the proved fact of falsification can be the ground for non-recognition of the election. We can prove falsification only if there are alternative candidates, against whom the falsification is made, to the advantage of one candidate. Apart from that, this is disrespect for the people - we do not leave them an opportunity to vote for someone and against someone. Moreover, this will decrease motivation for the Square, that is why I am against this".

Statkevich added that unfortunately he has had no opportunity to speak with the other candidates so far.

Statkevich: "There was an attempt to conduct a meeting today. The organizer guaranteed that we would meet quietly and talk, but when I came there I saw cameras. It is impossible to negotiate in front of cameras. Unfortunately, the meeting was disrupted".
