Statkevich stops hunger-strike?
Maryna Adamovich, Mikalai Statkevcih’s friend, has received letters from the politician who is now in the KGB detention centre: one was sent by post and the other was presented by a KGB investigator. Maryna says that the letters are very strange and she doubts that they were written by Mikalai Statkevich, informs “Narodnaya Volya”. According to the first short note-like letter, the sender says that he had to stop the hunger-strike on the evening of January 12.
"I do not know whether he has stopped the hunger-strike or not and whether it was Mikola who wrote the letter. I think that the authorities would have allowed the lawyer to meet him in that case so that everyone could have made sure of it. Moreover, the letter is written in a style that does not look like Mikola’s. I am not sure the letter was not dictated to him, maybe he did not even write those letters”, - thinks Adamovich.
Let us remind you that the lawyer of a former presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich, Tatstsyana Stankevich, is not allowed to meet her client.
