Sweden to continue supporting civil community in Belarus
The support of the civil community and independent mass media in Belarus will become one of the priorities of the new country presiding in the European Council – Sweden.
Let us remind you that the country became the head of the main legislative authority of the Council of Europe – the Cabinet – on May 7.
"The democratic development of Belarus disturbs Europe, - says the document on the official website of the EC. – Belarus may become a friend of the European Council as soon as it is ready to stick to all the terms and fulfil the commitments necessary for it”.
It is also noted that Sweden will promote the cooperation of Belarus and the Council of Europe.
