Swedish diplomat sold Belarus-made smuggled socks in Moscow
Swedish high-ranking diplomat in Moscow Andres Martin Fors was accused of contraband sales of Belarus-made stockings.
The Russian television channel NTV reported that the first secretary at the trade and economic section of the Swedish embassy in Moscow would travel to Belarus and buy cheap socks and stockings and would later sell them to Russian shops.
The TV channel showed footage which shows the diplomat unloading boxes from his embassy car and selling them to a shop. Due to his diplomatic immunity, Fors could avoid customs checks at the border.
The diplomat could not be arrested due to his status, but Sweden recalled the diplomat back home.
