Ten fire-trucks dispatched to put out blaze at Press House in Minsk
A small fire broke out yesterday evening on the roof of the Belarusian Press House in Minsk. "Some repairs with the open fire were being performed on the roof, causing the inflammation of materials. But there was no real fire. Just because the Press House is a strategic object, we dispatched ten fire-fighting crews", Hleb Sviryd, a spokesman for the Minsk City Emergencies Department told the European Radio for Belarus.
He said only one fire truck was actually involved in the fire-fighting operation. Safety violations should be blamed for the incident, according to preliminary reports.
