Victoria Azaranka of Belarus on July 27 defeated Japan's Ayumi Marita 6:0, 6:2 in the 1/16 final at the WTA tournament in Stanford, USA. Volha Havartsova of Belarus defeated Russia'a Alla Kudryavtseva 6:1, 6:1 in the first round and will face Maria Sharapova in the next round.
