Ukraine and Russia to sign documents on gas supplies
Russian-Ukrainian documents on gas transit and its supplies to Ukraine will be signed in the presence of the states’ Prime Ministers Vladimir Putin and Yuliya Timoshenko on January 19. It is expected to happen in the afternoon.
Let us remind you that Putin and Timoshenko managed to reach an agreement in the issue of the price of gas for Ukraine after the summit of Russia, Ukraine and the European Commission on January 17. The price for the fuel will be calculated according to the following formula – the European price for gas minus 20%. At the same time Russia will have a beneficial transit based on the rate of 2008.
Thus, the Ukrainian price for gas may total less than 400 dollars for one thousand cubic metres. It was 179.5 dollars last year, reminds Lenta.ru.
