Ukraine is ready to supply gas to Europe instead of Belarus
Ukraine is ready to increase the transit of Russian gas to Europe if any problems with its transit across Belarus arise. The RBK informs about it referring to a source in the Ukrainian government.
Thus, a company “Ukrtransgaz” received an inquiry about alternative ways of gas supplies from “Gazprom Expert” (a daughter enterprise of “Gazprom”) on June 17.
Gas supplies across Belarus are expected to be reduced by 6 million cubic meters a day. “Ukrtransgaz” will conduct operative meetings in order to control the gas transit situation every two hours.
Let us remind you that “Gazprom” announced that gas supplies to Belarus would be limited by 15% in the morning. The reduction may reach 85% later.
