Ukrainian customs officers find 25 thousand dollars Belarusian hid in a doll (photo)
Ukrainian customs officers and members of the Ukrainian Security Service found almost 25 thousand dollars on a 22-year-old Belarusian returning home by a “Kiev-Minsk” train. The money was hidden in one of the dolls the guy said he was going to present to his niece.
The inspector took it to pieces and it turned out that the doll was filled with green bank-notes. The passenger was made to get off the train. The money will be preserved in a bank until the trial. It will either be confiscated or returned to its owner.
According to customs rules, the Belarusian was allowed to have only 10 thousand dollars on him, reports “Gazeta po-ukraіnski”.
According to “Vecherni Minsk”, Ukrainian police had been informed about the Belarusian by some “well-wisher”.
