Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declares its concern with regard to events in Minsk
Ukraine is deeply concerned by non-reasonable use of force against the participants of the protest action and journalists on December 19 in Minsk. The head of the informational policy department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aleh Valoshyn said this today at the briefing in Kyiv.
At present moment they are checking whether there are Ukrainian citizens among the detained in Minsk.
Valoshyn added that the Ukrainian side will base its evaluation of the presidential election campaign in Belarus basing on the OSCE's conclusions.
The diplomat noted that Kyiv was interested in further progress and consolidation of democratic values in Belarus, as well as in the dialogue with the official Minsk, reports "Interfax-Ukraine".
