Uladzimir Asipenka not allowed to attend relative's burial
Entrepreneur Uladzimir Asipenka, detained in Vaukavysk on February 8, was not allowed to attend the burial of his uncle -- the only relative on father's side, daughter Ludmila told reporters.
His uncle died on April 23. Relatives approched an investigator, requesting to allow the detainee for burial, but the latter refused, saying there were no guards available at the detention facility.
Yury Liavonau, Mikalai Autukhovich and Uladzimir Asipenka were arrested on February 8. The arrest and search warrant was issued by the prosecutor of the Hrodna region. On February 18, the three men were charged with arson. Human rights lawyers describe them as political prisoners.
