University in Pinsk to open biotechnologies faculty

The Pinsk University will open a faculty of biotechnologies, thanks to the land that used to be owned by the Pochapava loss-making cooperative.  The botanical gardens with exotic plants and trees will be located on the former land of the agricultural cooperative. It will also host an incubator for rare fresh-water fish spices. A new building will be built in the center of Pinsk to accommodate the new faculty. Several private houses will be demolished and the residents shifted to the suburbs in order to clear space for the new faculty, reports ERB correspondent Hleb Paulouski.
