US Ministry of Finance informs about expansion of economic sanctions against Belarus
The US Ministry of Finance has published a new amendment to the usage of economic sanctions against a Belarusian concern “Belnaftahim”.
According to the website of the US Ministry of Finance, sanctions will be applied to three particular enterprises being part of the structure of the concern, - the Belarusian Oil Trade House, “Lakafarba” ltd. and “Polatsk Grass Fiber” ltd.
They have been added on the official list of enterprises and physical entities the United States imposes sanctions on.
Let us remind you that sanctions of the US Ministry of Finance were imposed on “Belnaftahim” in November 2007. All bank accounts of the concern and its representative offices falling within US jurisdiction were frozen.
Moreover, American businessmen were recommended to avoid any contacts with the Belarusian concern.
