Václav Klaus is re-elected President of Czechia
The current leader of the state Václav Klaus has been re-elected President of Czechia. According to the official data presented by the election committee, 141 parliamentarians voted for Klaus, reports RIA “Novosti”. According to the Czech legislation, the President of the country is elected at a joint sitting of both chambers of the Parliament – The Council of Deputies (the lower chamber, 200 deputies) and the Senate (the upper chamber, 81 senators). Klaus was elected in the third tour of the second election.
