Video-operator of "Nasha Niva" gets telephone threats

A video-operator of the newspaper "Nasha Niva" Tatsiana Haurylchyk received telephone threats on January 3. According to the newpaper's web-site, an unknown person called Tatsiana on her home phone saying "You'll look pale and have less teeth" twice.

Haurylchyk filmed the protest action in Minsk on December 19, "as a staff journalist of an officially registered media". On December 31 four KGB men searched her apartment and confiscated her computer and office equipment. The KGB representatives suggested she should come to them for a conversation on January 3 during the search, informs "Nasha Niva"

Haurylchyk came to them with a lawyer and refused to speak without him. The KGB representative, in his turn, refused to speak in the presence of the lawyer.

In the end there was no conversation, and 2 hours later the lady received the anonymous phone call. "An official claim with regard to threats received by the "NN" journalist will be directed to the police immediately", — informs the newspaper's web-site.
