The voyage of our opposition to Brussels to cost EU Parliament 29 thousand euro

15 Belarusian opposition politicians will attend a conference of the European Parliament on October 15. EU authorities will spend 2 thousand euro per every opposition member during their two-day visit to Brussels.
The policy of good-neighbourly relations will be discussed at the meeting. The leader of the movement “For Freedom” Alyaksandr Milinkevich, the head of the BNF party Vintsuk Vyachorka and representatives of independent organizations and journalists are among the invited.

According to a European deputy, the head of the EU commission on Belarus Bohdan Klih, it is the first time so many Belarusian opposition members have been invited to the European parliament.

The purpose of the conference Ukrainians, Moldavians and representatives of Caucasian states will participate in is the discussion of the policy of good-neighbourly relations of the European Union and the investigation of the fact whether “Belarusian hopes for democracy come true”.

The European Parliament has decided to pay the expenses for the stay of Belarusians in Brussels. It will cost about 29 thousand euro. The conference will take place on November 29 and 30.
