Yaraslau Ramanchuk promises to make Ukraine and Canada Belarusian partners
Yaraslau Ramanchuk promises that Ukraine and Canada will become strategic partners of Belarus if he wins the elections. The politician claimed it at a conference of democratic structures of Minsk Province in Minsk on August 29, reports BelaPAN.
The presidential contender thinks that Ukraine has a great potential in the field of trade, energy and infrastructure. It will be easier to establish cooperation with Europe with the help of the neighbour.
According to the deputy head of the UCP, Canada could become “Belarus’ voice in the world” as it likes the fact that Belarus is on the way to becoming a modern European state.
Ramanhcuk is sure that those people who think Alyaksandr Lukashenka can guarantee the independence of Belarus in the situation of worsening relations with Russia are mistaken as he is not a guarantor but a threat to the independence of the country because his power cannot exist without dependence on Russian energy supplies.
