Yulia Timoshenko – Ukrainian Prime Minister

Yulia Timoshenko has been elected Prime Minister of Ukraine. 226 deputies of the Supreme Council voted for her. That’s the amount of votes that was needed for it.
Let us remind you that Timoshenko lacked one vote during the previous voting last week. Let us note that it was a show-of-hands voting.

165 deputies from her own fraction and 70 out of 72 deputies from the faction “Our Ukraine – National Self-Defense” voted for Yulia Timoshenko. The party of the Regions, Litvin’s Block and the Communist Party refused to take part in the voting.
