Zlotnikau: Russia will wait with "oil issue" till Presidential elections
Such opinion has been stated by the economist Leanid Zlotnikau in his comment to Euroradio. Let us remind you, that the CIS Economic Court suggested Belarusian and Russian governments should free Russian oil products coming to Belarus from customs fees until the trial is over. As it was stated by the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Vasil Likhachou, this decision had a character of recommendation so Russia would not follow it.
Leanid Zlotnikau agreed it was a recommendation from the CIS Economic Court.
Zlotnikau: "I think Belarus will have no influence over solving of this issue anymore. It has been trying to influence Russia's decision for two or three years. You know, there are protocols on prices for gas and oil, signed several years ago. According to them, oil and gas prices should gradually reach the world market level".
According to the expert, some solving of the "oil argument" between Russia and Belarus is possible only after the presidential elections in our country.
Besides, upon the request of the Russian side there will be a break in hearings of the case till January 19, 2011.
