11000 babies born in Minsk over seven months

The population of Minsk, the capital of Belarus, is 1,798,300 people.  According to the data from the municipal department of statistics, the natural population growth is reported as 872 people over the last seven months of this year. This figure is 10 times higher against the same period of the last year.

Over 11,000 babies were born in January-July 2007, 11 percent up against the same period of 2006, reports Minsk Naviny.
