12:19 Parliament rejects legislation on opinion polls
The House of Representatives of the Belarus's National Assembly has postponed indefinitely the reviewal of a draft law on public opinion polls, after the legislation was urgently called off. According to MP Volga Abramava, the legislation will not be revised or returned to the House.
The legislation envisages the accrediation of legal entities that wish to conduct public opinion surveys. The draft law also sets out procedures for the dissemination of poll returns in the media.
