A Japanese excavation worker has digged out and submitted to police almost $500,000. The money was found in a container, which he dragged out while digging. The authorities are now trying to identify the owner of the valuable container.

If the owner fails to turn up within the next six months, the excavation worker will become a lucky owner of the treasures on condition of paying a 60-percent tax, reports the Russian radio station Ekho Moskvy.
